Role Description The Legal Assistant Paralegal role is a full-time, on-site position based in Anderson, IN. This role supports attorneys by preparing and organizing legal documents, managing case files, and assisting with scheduling hearings, meetings, and deadlines. Daily tasks include conducting legal and Medicaid applications and asset and income verifications research, reviewing and summarizing Medicaid application documents, drafting correspondence and basic pleadings, and maintaining accurate records in case management systems. The Legal Assistant Paralegal will communicate with clients, courts, Medicaid and other parties, ensuring timely follow-up and professional interactions. The role also involves general administrative support, such as filing, copying, data entry, and coordinating with the legal team to keep cases moving efficiently.

Qualifications • Skills in legal document preparation, including drafting, formatting, and organizing pleadings, motions, and correspondence. • Diligent document review, including identifying key information, spotting inconsistencies, and ensuring accuracy and completeness. • Effective communication skills for interacting with clients, attorneys, court staff, Medicaid, and other parties verbally and in writing. • High level of organization, time management, and attention to detail in handling multiple cases and deadlines. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 software and legal case management tools; ability to maintain electronic and physical files. • Prior experience as a legal assistant or paralegal, and a paralegal certificate or relevant coursework is preferred.
