About this role

About the position

Own day-to-day accounting and financial analysis for the Hearing Aid company. The role maintains accurate financial records and delivers timely reporting, forecasts, and recommendations. It combines hands-on accounting with business analysis to support reliable financial results, effective controls, and informed operating decisions.

The VP of Accounting and Finance provides technical guidance, accounting oversight, and support for complex issues. A dotted-line relationship with the President aligns financial analysis and planning with business priorities. The position works with both leaders to coordinate deadlines, communicate findings, and resolve competing priorities.

The position may require onsite work at a commutable Johnson Health Tech North America location and may be eligible for remote work based on business needs, prior leadership approval, and ongoing business requirements. Occasional domestic and international travel, and some evenings or early mornings for international conference calls or events, may be required.

Responsibilities
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities, including journal entries, accruals, prepaid expenses, and supporting schedules, meeting reporting deadlines.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, resolve outstanding items, and review others’ reconciliations when assigned while maintaining appropriate separation of preparation and approval responsibilities.
• Maintain fixed asset records, depreciation schedules, and capital expenditure tracking, and reconcile asset activity to the general ledger.

• Support sales forecasting and evaluate the effects of revenue, margin, operating expenses, and working capital assumptions on projected results.
• Analyze actual results against budget, forecast, and prior periods; explain key drivers, identify emerging risks, and recommend corrective actions.
• Evaluate customer, product, and channel profitability, pricing, costs, and sales trends; develop financial models and business cases for capital investments and operating initiatives.
• Monitor cash flow, receivables, payables, and inventory trends, identifying opportunities to improve collections, inventory levels, and use of cash.
• Prepare monthly financial and operational reporting packages, departmental reports, sales dashboards, and management presentations; reconcile reports to underlying accounting records.
• Maintain required corporate and headquarters submissions, including margin, sales, product, and cost reporting as applicable.
• Present findings and recommendations to the President, the VP of Accounting and Finance, and department leaders; respond to ongoing and ad hoc analysis needs.
• Partner with IT, sales, product, and operations to improve reporting accuracy, system functionality, and access to financial data; maintain relevant market, competitor, and statistical reporting as assigned.
• Document accounting and reporting procedures, maintain supporting records, follow company policies and internal controls, and coordinate control improvements with the VP of Accounting and Finance.
• Improve recurring accounting, forecasting, and reporting processes through standardization and appropriate automation; support commission system setup and reporting as applicable.
• Lead or participate in financial and business improvement initiatives, provide technical assistance, share knowledge with colleagues, and complete other related assignments.
• Complete other projects as needed.
