About the Role:

Huntington Learning Center in Westwood, NJ is looking for passionate, part-time tutors to help students unlock their full academic potential! This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students while working in a supportive and structured learning environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions to students in various subjects and grade levels
• Deliver personalized instruction aligned with Huntington's proven curriculum and teaching methods
• Assess student progress and adapt teaching strategies to meet individual learning needs
• Support students in reading, writing, math, and test preparation (SAT/ACT)
• Maintain accurate session notes and communicate student progress to center staff
• Foster a positive, encouraging, and motivating learning environment

Requirements:

• Strong proficiency in one or more academic subjects (math, reading, writing, science, etc.)
• Previous tutoring, teaching, or mentoring experience preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Patient, encouraging, and student-focused demeanor
• Ability to work part-time afternoon, evening, or weekend hours
• Completed Bachelor's degree
